A functional approach,
grounded in research.

Kasia is a vocal coach and professional technical singing tutor with extensive experience working with professional voice users. Alongside her private practice at Tileyard North, she is one of the technical tutors at leading drama school, Emil Dale Academy. Her clients include professional musical theatre performers, professional musicians and those aspiring to build careers in the industry.

"The best way I can describe Kasia's approach is that it's like she's looking at a painting. Rather than painting over it, she works out how best to tell its story, which gallery it belongs in, what lighting brings it to life, and how an audience can truly appreciate what's already there. She doesn't try to change your voice; she helps you understand it, strengthen it and get the absolute best out of it."

Kasia is informed by her professional experience, specialist training and a strong belief that research is fundamental to effective teaching. She has committed to CPD over the last eight years, and is currently nearing completion of her Master's degree in Vocal Pedagogy, specialising in the management of vocal fatigue for professional voice users, translating the scientific research into practical accessible guidance.

"I went to drama school for three years and really struggled with an approach to vocal training that wasn't specific to my voice, but instead focused on a 'method' designed to work for lots of different singers. As a pop singer, I've always felt like I had a good instrument to work with, but the technical side of singing made me nervous because I was constantly worried about getting it wrong. Kasia completely changed that for me. She's patient, caring and incredibly knowledgeable, and has this amazing ability to understand the individual voice in front of her rather than trying to mould it into something it isn't. I talk about her to everyone I know in the music scene because of how quickly she elevated my voice and, more importantly, my confidence in using it. She really is that good, and just an all-round legend. And yes, she knows the technical stuff through and through. She'll throw in the odd diagram or video when it's useful, which, for a voice geek like me, I absolutely love, but she never lets technique get in the way of actually singing. She gets you out of your head, gets you singing, and gets you singing confidently. That has been such a game changer for me. The best way I can describe her approach is that it's like she's looking at a painting. Rather than painting over it, she works out how best to tell its story, which gallery it belongs in, what lighting brings it to life, and how an audience can truly appreciate what's already there. She doesn't try to change your voice; she helps you understand it, strengthen it and get the absolute best out of it."

"I came to Kasia needing a full rep revamp and lacking confidence - not really sure where to start or what next steps looked like. Each monthly lesson she guided me through, offering new songs and most of all, listened to exactly what I needed. Kasia is the first person who I feel has really taught me to sing. She is an expert in her field and takes the time to ensure you find your own safe sound - rather than giving everyone the same exercises and hoping for the best. Without Kasia I wouldn't have taken next steps in getting a vocal reel and definitely wouldn't be auditioning for roles that I am. A huge thank you!!!"

She always finds different ways to explain and demonstrate techniques, making her practice accessible and beneficial to all students. Her energy and passion for teaching is infectious and she has an excellent way of making students feel comfortable and confident during their lessons. I have rehearsed many audition pieces with Kasia and always walk into the audition room feeling prepped and ready! I feel she really understands my voice and always recommends songs from her extensive repertoire knowledge that suit me and challenge me in the best way!"

"I can't recommend Kasia enough! Right from the first lesson I felt completely relaxed and at ease, making it so much easier to try new technique and push myself out of my comfort zone. Every new technique or exercise is explained precisely and thoroughly, making it easy to access and understand. Her feedback is always constructive and encouraging, and her repertoire recommendations are fantastic. Kasia's passion is infectious and every lesson is so much fun! I've seen a huge improvement in my voice and my confidence in my voice has grown exponentially!"
